Keanu Reeves has once again solidified his reputation as "the nicest star in Hollywood" following a surprise visit to a UK pub. Now, any UK resident will be quick to tell you about the historic importance of a local public house - with each tavern holding a special place in the hearts of the locals. UK TV soaps are often built around a pub (Eastenders' Queen Vic, Corrie's Rovers Return etc.), as each establishment is known to the community for its food, drink, and the regulars that prop up the bar. However, I reckon it is safe to say that the staff and locals at The Robin Hood pub in Tring didn't expect to see one of the world's biggest celebrities walk through their doors. Taking to its Facebook page to share the exciting news, staff at the pub revealed that 58-year-old Keanu Reeves stopped by on Saturday (February 4) for a bit of lunch. Sharing a picture of the Matrix star with one of its employees, officials for the pub write: "So today we had a surprise visitor for lunch..." [[facebookwidget||https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=630473109083262]] And - staying true to the reputation Reeves has amassed over the last two decades - staff described the actor as "a lovely man". In fact, after hearing how exciting the kitchen staff were about his visit, Reeves promptly entered the kitchen and introduced himself to the team who prepared his meal. "Laura asked if he would be ok with taking photos with the kitchen lads. He marched into the kitchen shook their hands and praised them for the food they had prepared," the post adds. "Suffice to say he made their days!!!"
