A<a href="https://vt.co/news/us/fox-news-host-makes-awkward-blunder-during-hurricane-ian-coverage" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> Fox News</a> meteorologist has revealed that he was allegedly attacked by a group of teenagers on a Manhattan subway. Weatherman Adam Klotz took to his <a href="https://www.instagram.com/adamklotzfnc/">Instagram</a> to share a video of the aftermath of the vicious attack. He appeared bruised as he detailed how he was going home on a train after watching the New York Giants NFL playoff game. The 37-year-old explained that an "older gentleman" was reportedly being harassed by a group of "seven or eight teens," adding: "'I was like, 'Yo, guys, cut that out.' And they decided, 'All right if he’s not going to get it, you’re going to get it.' "And boy did they give it to me," the weatherman continued. "They had me on the ground. My ribs are all bruised up, too. They got their hits in." And, you know I got x-rays, so it's all good, and this (his injuries) will heal." According to the <a href="https://nypost.com/2023/01/22/fox-news-weatherman-beaten-on-nyc-subway-train/">New York Post</a>, law authorities have said that the meteorologist was on a train at around 1:15 AM when he encountered the young suspects - who may have been smoking marijuana at the time. The outlet shared that the group of teenagers ran from the train at the 18th Street station after the attack on the man, but three of them - two 15-year-olds and a 17-year-old - were soon seized by police officers, but were eventually released. "Juvenile reports were prepared, and their parents were called to pick them up," a representative for the New York Police Department explained, per the <a href="https://nypost.com/2023/01/22/fox-news-weatherman-beaten-on-nyc-subway-train/">publication</a>. It has not been revealed why the unidentified teens were dismissed without facing charges, however, a member of the department ​claimed that they had no choice due to them being underage and the fact that the crime seemingly involved a misdemeanor. In addition to this, the New York City Law Department said in a statement to the outlet that the meteorologist has to file a complaint with the Department of Probation​ before the agency can get involved. ​The probation agency would then determine whether to direct the case to ​the Law Department​ for prosecution, the representative said. The rule​ increased the age for a young person to be indicted as an adult from 17 to 18. Klotz was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at Bellevue Hospital. Although he said in the video that the suspects have been nabbed, he seemed unaware that they were released without being arraigned. However, in an interview with Fox News, he spoke in detail of the brutal attack, saying: "I actually moved to whole 'nother car on the train at a stop. We go a whole stop. The doors open, I kind of think it’s over. "The whole group comes and gang rushes me and jumps on me, just starts beating me and kicking me. I hear 'put him to sleep, put him to sleep.' They wanted to knock me out," he added. Koltz also disclosed that he's aware that three suspects out of about "seven or eight" teens have been released.
